Hi, I’m Emily
I grew up in Dallas, Texas, but Rome has become both a muse and my home, a city I’ll never get over. I picked up my first camera in my teenage years, and over time my inspirations have grown with me: the way Caravaggio painted with light, the Mediterranean sun that adds a glow to everything it touches, dinners that stretch late into the night with too much wine and laughter, and the small, in-between moments that remind me why I love capturing people at all.
I came to Rome initially to complete a Master’s in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution, which deepened my understanding of nuance, connection, and the importance of holding space for vulnerability. These lessons now inform both how I approach people and how I see the world through my art.
When I’m not behind my camera, you’ll probably find me wandering a museum, curled up editing in my favorite Roman bar, cooking far too much for friends, or traveling to soak in something new. My work is never just about how things look, it’s about how they feel: rooted in curiosity, empathy, and a never-ending love affair with stories worth keeping.
Feel like you’ve found the right place?
